We are an open, affirming, and welcoming campus ministry at the University of Washington. We welcome students, faculty, and staff in their young adult years.
We are a group of students interested in exploring what it means to be a follower of Christ in the 21st century, a community that is open and welcoming to all, questioners, adovcates for social justice, lovers of God and neighbor, and people who enjoy the occasional improptu dance party. Our home base, the Covenant House, is a place to chill, do homework, grab coffee and snacks, pray, worship, find a listening ear, play foosball, and a lot more. Come visit us!
[02/15/17] You are loved. You are beautiful. You are deeply valued. You don't need a partner, significant other, date, or whatever to make this true. The truth is that you are a beloved child of God -- and this is true each and every day. You are loved. You are worthy. You are a miracle.
This isn't coming out until summer, but I'm really excited about it! A Bible app that is feminist, LGBTQ affirming and progressive. It was created by a queer black woman and lots of people I admire have worked on it. You can sign up to get notified when it drops:

This week at The Sanctuary: conversations about identity, justice and being the light of the world!
"As we move forward under the new era of the Trump régime, I ask that faculty, staff, and students take measures to protect themselves and each other on campus and in our communities. We should be angry. We should continue to be vocal and stand up in the face of these cowards who hide behind twitter egg accounts and false Facebook profiles. On the basis of our shared position within the educational community at the University of Washington, I hope that you will extend the protection and empathy to the people who will need your support the most in the coming years — in particular, Muslim, immigrant, Black, Queer, and women identified persons."
Open and affirming, ALL are welcome Sundays, 9 am in Hildebrand Hall (casual, contemporary service) and 11 am (more traditional service) in the Sanctuary.
