To serve, rescue and transform those in greatest need through the grace of Jesus Christ.
We're standing in the gap! We refuse to forget our poor and homeless neighbors. Our programs awaken hope in the hearts of people overcome with poverty and homelessness.
But that's not all. We're challenging the standard thinking about how to fight poverty with 5 key areas of service:
4. High Risk Youth
Change like this won't become reality through our efforts alone. We're partnering with churches, organizations . . . and local government, to make this happen. Our work is made possible by people like you who believe it's time to bring hope to the darkest places in Seattle. Donate now to keep this work going.
“Every individual [sleeping outside] is there because of a broken relationship. When we throw money at it we are not fixing the pain that may have launched them into an addiction or into a mental health crisis to begin with. If we are not meeting the needs of the individual, it makes us feel better that they are in housing - but they still have the pain that drove them out there to begin with.
“We’re all family. We all are on this earth together and we’ve got to stand together… It’s getting into a conversation with some neighbors and saying:
“What can we do in our block?
What can we do with our work?
What can we do as a family?”

nhmin.org It’s difficult to believe, but one year ago New Horizons said yes to opening the Young Adult Emergency Shelter, which we’ve conveniently abbreviated to sound like a most enthusiastic agreement – YAES.
“Be somebody’s constant. If you look outside your house and you see a homeless man sleeping on the side of the street, go out there, say ‘hello'...be their constant. You have no idea what an impact you will make.”
