Jericho Inn Mission, Inc.

[02/06/17]   Just finished service at the Paramount Care Center (formerly called Leon Sullivan) at 330 pm. We had a good time with old time songs like Lily of the Valley, Jesus Paid it All, and Jesus is the Sweetest Name of All. My message was about Jesus...the One and Only Image of God. The primary text was Colossians 1.

At our mid-week Bible Study, we are talking about the Atonement as an introduction to the Letter to the Hebrews. We are doing this because it is vitally important that all believers understand the Atonement...and, because such an understanding is necessary in order for us to comprehend the richness and fullness of this important letter.

[01/01/17]   Will kick off the New Year tomorrow Jan 1, 2017 with our dear folks at the Leon Sullivan Care Center in Seattle by bringing them the Life Giving and Life Sustaining Gospel of Jesus Christ. We will sing and dance and Shout Hallelujah!!! Pastor Mark's message will be about the Most Important Day in Human History. That day was the day that Jesus Christ paid our sin debt upon His Cross and forever reconciled us to God our Father. On that day Jesus Christ provided The Everlasting Atonement by the Sacrifice of Himself Once for all time. Having a Bible doesn't do a person any good unless its open in front of their face and they are reading and studying it...and saying Amen! to every passage of God's truth that is revealed.

One More River [Live] This is an old time classic that we would like to share with you. Its worth the time to hear it. I was very happy to see Lulu Roman (from the Hee Haw days) on this Bill Gaither clip.

[11/24/16]   We have been going through the book of the Revelation for the past several weeks during our mid-week evening services. Last night we made a segue into the Man of Lawlessness, the Son of Perdition...who is also the Wilful King and the Beast/Anti-Christ. That segue was fun...but then we moved on into the outpouring of the wrath of Almighty God...and we were reminded that this will be an entirely just and right action taken by the Creator upon the inhabitants of the earth. I did the set up of the Beast/Anti-Christ in advance of the Wrath portion of the book because the 5th Bowl of Wrath is poured out specifically upon the Beast/Anti-Christ and his kingdom will be darkened (Rev 16.10). Which is the introduction or prelude to Armageddon (Rev 16.16), which battle is only a prelude to the outpouring of the fierceness of the wrath of Almighty God as he judges Mystery Babylon...the Mother of Harlots and Abominations (Rev 17). That coming time will be the darkest hour of human history...but it will be followed by the most Glorious hour when Jesus Christ the King of Kings and Lord of Lords is revealed from Heaven in Great Power and Glory, and all His Saints will be with Him...also fully glorified.

[11/07/16]   Another wonderful service today at Leon Sullivan Care Center...I brought some songs and choruses from the old days that are still powerful for their simple and direct gospel message. I also preached and taught about the life cleansing and healing power of the blood of Jesus from the Old Testament. First we visited the Cross and took note of the situation on Calvary's hill on that day when the sun went dark at noon and Jesus was crucified (as recorded in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John). We then went back in time to the prophet Amos to read his detailed account written more than 500 years in advance of the event (cf. Amos 8.9-10), and then to Isaiah who wrote a detailed description about Jesus, more than 700 years in advance of the crucifixion (cf. Isaiah 52.13 - 53.12). It's a wonderful thing to know and appreciate the gift God the Father gave us in giving us His only son to redeem us and restore us to our righteous standing before Him in Love.
